Implementation Consultant, Professional Services Consultant, Functional Consultant, Application Software, Cross train to Microsoft Dynamics D365
A job with lots of potential - we need several Application Software Implementation Consultants with Business Central experience.
Key attributes - ambitious, intelligent Implementation Consultants who are logical thinkers, have lots of personality and are passionate about learning and developing.
This Microsoft consultancy has a stunning team of people and a stunning reputation. They have grown to 40 people in their first 8 years of business and are on target to turnover £5-6 million next year. This has partly been achieved by hiring very bright people from software consulting companies or resellers and giving them the chance to learn the entire MS stack which includes ERP, CRM & Sales, Finance, Field Service, Dynamics CE and MS 365 Business Central, as well as Microsoft Office365, Azure, SharePoint, and systems integration.
The career offering here is very different; all the Implementation Consultants they hire, not only become functional consultants and adept at the business processes, but also get trained in software development, technical consulting, and systems integration. The company use a hybrid consultancy methodology where all their Implementation Consultants can do the business side and client facing interaction, as well as the technical aspects of the project. This makes each implementation incredibly efficient, and dramatically reduces the issues of specs being passed down a chain until nobody has a clue.
Every consultant needs to be able to look at a bit of code and debug it; this would most often be JavaScript. So if that is something that you don't think you will be able to do, or indeed you have no interest in doing, then this job isn't for you. You do not need to know how to do development and coding from scratch; but you need to have an interest in learning some of the technical side and some code and JavaScript.
After 6 months you will get a £5k car allowance or a company car (electric only) and the career path is for you to grow into a Senior Consultant on around £65,000 and then Solutions Architect, which is typically a 5-year journey, and you will then earn around £95,000.
Bright, highly motivated, engaging, chatty and inquisitive Application Software Consultants will love the environment here, and will thrive. They will look at junior level people at the £35k mark upwards, or experienced Consultants who have been implementing Business Central software for a few years - up to £65k.
You need 12 months+ ERP Implementation of Business Central and you must be keen, driven, and excited by this opportunity to fast track and learn. There is a certain type of person that they hire, and that is only discovered by going through the process. They have hired the right people so far, and virtually everyone has stayed with the company and become a success, so they know what they want and what works.
You are probably early on in your career in consulting and software implementation, but it is essential that you have worked in a client facing role for a reseller, consultancy, software business or vendor. The type of software you have implemented could be manufacturing, finance, warehousing, dealer management, real estate & property management, or CRM, sales, payroll, field service management solutions, insurance or legal software, or ERP, e-commerce or retail, financial services, trading, or wealth management, construction software, automotive or fleet management, distribution, logistics, event management solutions or anything similar.
These jobs are home based but you will need to go into the office initially for some training and from time to time. They have consultants living all over the UK, from Edinburgh to the South Coast.
One of the other interesting things is that they don't do any marketing. They have created such strong brand awareness in their niche markets, that they don't need to sell to or hunt down customers. Much of their work is with not-for-profits and the charity sector, but also in finance & banking and construction.
They think outside the box. Junior Consultants who have come on board with finance skills for instance, could now be CRM or field service experts. They don't pigeonhole you based on what you know - it's all about your potential. Key personality traits are: analytical, prudent, logical, friendly & agreeable, and intelligent. Hopefully that sounds like you.
One of the best opportunities we have seen this year, so please apply.
