This successful and profitable ERP partner have just won 3 new projects that will need one extra project manager.
You will be running ERP projects of 5-200 users, so a typical project will be £50K to £1M
As an ERP project manager you will have a background of delivering Implementation projects in a Professional Services environment and will be used to dealing with clients, consultants and sponsors who all have their own opinions on how you should be doing your job!
They use an "agile-waterfall" combination, so ideally you will have worked with both PM methodologies and be very happy in a scrum.
This is an exceptional group of people, focused on doing the right thing for their customers and not taking life too seriously.
This very do-able ERP Project Management role is to join a well-established, ERP solutions partner with a massive client base and a significant pipeline of work. They are a successful software reseller; they have around 40 staff, a track record of over 20 years of project management, software implementation and support and the ERP solutions they sell cover supply chain, finance & accounting, distribution, manufacturing, asset management, business intelligence, production, inventory, warehousing, and CRM.
The job is based anywhere in the UK, but ideally you live south of Manchester down to the South or West Coast of England, and you will be working from home full time with occasional trips to a client site and once a month visits to their office in the Midlands.
You must have a solid understanding of how software implementation projects work (regarding business requirements / training / scheduling resources / implementation / go live etc.).
You will have worked in a consulting environment dealing with multiple clients and multiple projects at once as an ERP project manager
Projects are fast paced, and requirements can change at any time, so you need to be comfortable working in this type of environment. They implement ERP software that covers manufacturing, distribution and accounting and finance.
You will have a lot of control over your own diary, managing your time and juggling the balls.
The ERP project manager role will be to create project initiation documents, schedule projects to complete on time and to budget, run meetings, plan, and manage the projects, track and log each stage, mitigate risk, scope and creep, keep great documentation, allocate resources appropriately, manage the stakeholders, manage your own and the ERP consultants time effectively, deal with client conflict, and ensure that each project is delivered to a high standard and is a success.
The ability to manage people and projects in a way that you can get the best out of them and keep them loyal year after year, is essential. They are looking for someone who is driven, detail oriented, and likes a challenge. Self-motivation, tenacity, influencing skills, people management, and a passion for technology are required.
Please apply with an up to date CV and I'll come back to you, thanks Jake.
